When designing (for a client or myself) there is always a message to get across. Everything is communicating something but the key to successful design is to know what you’re saying and who you’re trying to say it to.

Every element of a design is purposeful and has reason. Whether it’s to create visual hierarchy or add a pop of visual interest, there should be reasoning behind every design decision

3) The concept is key

Every great piece of design starts with a concept. It lays the tracks for where the project needs to go. I live by the words “give yourself the freedom of a tight brief”. When you have a strong concept or message making the right design choices is easy.
